JAKARTA - The fire that burned dry land and shrubs in the Mount Batur Bukit Payang Nature Tourism Park (TWAGBBP), Batur Tengah Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali Province has been successfully extinguished. The fire was extinguished by a joint team from the Bangli Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Kintamani Conservation Forest Management Unit (KPHK), Bangli Kodim, Kintamani Police, Bangli Regency Fire Department, Fire Care Society (MPA), Gunung Sari Mertha Group and the community. .

According to the team's assessment in the field, said Abdul, the emergence of the hotspots is thought to have come from the friction of the twigs which was also triggered by the hot weather and strong winds on Friday, October 22 afternoon.

"There are no reports of casualties due to this incident," he said in a written statement, Saturday, October 23.

Abdul said that after successfully extinguishing the fire in the main location, the joint team also found four new hotspots that were not far from the previous fire location. The new hotspots are located on the eastern side of Mount Batur's ridge.

"Seeing the new hotspots, the joint team took quick steps for extinguishing and further assessments. The fire was then successfully extinguished after going through the hard efforts of the entire team, although previously they had problems because the location point was on a steep slope," he explained.
