JAKARTA - The National Police arrested the lender of the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) Solusi Andalan Bersama (SAB) with the initials JS, which oversees illegal online loans (pinjol) in Wonogiri, Central Java. Apart from the financier, suspect JS also has other roles in the illegal loan-taking case. One of them is as a liaison for foreign nationals (foreigners) from China who also played a major role in the case.

"JS is a facilitator for Chinese foreigners, a community recruiter to become the chairman of the KSP as well as the director of a fictitious PT that is used as an illegal loan operation," said Helmy.

On the other hand, Helmy said the cooperative funded by the suspect was in charge of several illegal loans. One of them is named Fulus Mujur.

"From the results of the investigation, it was found that the victim died by hanging himself due to having borrowed in 23 illegal online loan applications," said Helmy.

In this case, the police also arrested several other suspects. They are the heads of cooperatives with the initials MDA and SR.
