Examine 7 Witnesses, Including Head Of PMD, KPK Investigate Receipts Of The Inactive Regent Of Probolinggo And Her Husband

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the receipt of money by the Inactive Regent of Probolinggo Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband, Hasan Aminuddin, by examining seven witnesses.

One of the witnesses examined on Thursday, October 21, was the Head of the Probolinggo Regency Community and Village Empowerment (PMD) Head, Edy Suryanto.

This investigation is related to the alleged bribery of buying and selling positions carried out by the couple. They are suspected of receiving money from state civil servants (ASN) within the Probolinggo Regency Government who want to serve as village head officials.

"Taking place at the KPK building, the investigator team has examined several witnesses for the suspect PTS et al", said KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Friday, October 22.

In addition to examining Edy, investigators examined six witnesses consisting of four sub-district heads named Ponirin, Puja, Rachmad Hidayanto, and Imam Syafii. Then, the KPK also examined the Assistant for Government and Welfare of the Probolinggo Regency Secretariat, Heri Sulistyanto, and an entrepreneur named Zulfikar Imawan Hir.

"All witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, related to the alleged receipt of a sum of money by the suspect PTS and suspect HA through several parties related to the appointment of the Acting Village Head and also the transfer of positions in the Probolinggo Regency Government", said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK named 22 people as suspects. They consist of 4 bribe recipients and 18 bribe givers.

The bribes given by ASN in the Probolinggo Regency Government are carried out so that they can serve as village head officials. Each person is required to pay IDR 20 million and the village land tribute of IDR 5 million per hectare.

The four recipients were Probolinggo Regent Puput Tantriana Sari, DPR member Hasan Aminuddin, Krejengan sub-district head Doddy Kurniawan, and Paiton sub-district head Muhamad Ridwan.

While the 18 donors namely Sumanto, Ali Wafa, Mawardi, Mashudi, Maliha, Mohammad Bambang, Masruhen, Abdul Wafi, Kho'im, Akhmad Saifullah, Jaelani, Uhar, Nurul Hadi, Nuruh Huda, Hasan, Sahir, Sugito, and Syamsuddin as suspects giver.
