He said from reports in the field that the victim and his three friends made the ascent to Mount Manglayang via the Baru Beureum climbing route on Saturday at around 05.00 WIB.

However, in the middle of the trip at around 09.00 WIB, said Deden, the victim was separated from his entourage around Post 4 on the climbing route, until late at night the victim had no news.

Then the residents reported to the SAR Office on Saturday night, then officers dispatched a team, along with complete equipment for searching the mountain area.

"At 21.30 WIB, the Bandung SAR Office dispatched a rescue team to the scene," he said.

Deden conveyed that the joint team then followed the climbing route until finally finding the victim around Curug Ciantani, or about 1.3 km from the initial location, the victim was separated in good health and safety.

Then the victim was evacuated by officers to the Beureum New Ascent Post to get treatment before finally being handed over to the victim's family.

"At 02.00 WIB the SAR team combined with the survivors arrived at the Bereum New Climbing Post, then the survivors were handed over to their families," said Deden.
