Set Project Fees And Receive Money Deliver Dodi Reza Alex To The KPK Detention Center

JAKARTA - The Regent of Musi Banyuasin Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin is now feeling the chill of the detention house after being entangled in a hand arrest operation (OTT) conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday night, October 15. He was named a suspect in the alleged bribery of infrastructure procurement in his area.

After undergoing an examination after being caught red-handed, Dodi, who is the eldest son of former South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin, was finally named a suspect by the KPK. In this activity, the KPK arrested him at a hotel in Jakarta.

"KPK has upgraded the status of this case to the investigation stage by announcing the following four suspects, namely DRA (Dodi Reza Alex) the Regent of Musi Banyuasin for the period 2017 to 2022," said KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata at a press conference on Saturday, October 16.

Apart from Dodi, the KPK has also appointed the Head of PUPR for Musi Banyuasin Regency, Herman Mayori, who is currently being held at the KPK Detention Center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur; Head of SDA/PPK Department of PUPR, Musi Banyuasin Regency, Eddi Umari, who was detained at the KPK Rutan, Merah Putih Branch; and Director of PT Selaras Simpati Nusantara Suhandy who was also detained at the KPK Rutan, Merah Putih Branch.

Alex said this case began when the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government was going to carry out the construction of a number of projects whose funds were sourced from the 2021 APBD-P and Provincial Financial Assistance at the PUPR Service. However, in the process, it is suspected that there were direct directions and orders from Dodi to his subordinates, including Herman Mayori and Eddi Umari, to carry out engineering.

"Among other things, by making a list, a list of jobs and having also determined potential partners who will be the executor of the work," said Alex.

It didn't stop there, it turned out that Dodi had determined the percentage of the fee for each project value with details of 10 percent for him, 3-5 percent for Herman, and 2-3 percent for Eddi and other related parties.

With the help of the deceitful practices that have been carried out, the company owned by Suhandy, namely PT Selaras Simpati Nusantara, was declared the winner of the four development projects. The project is the rehabilitation of the Ngulak III Irrigation Area (IDPMIP) in Ngulak III Village, Kec. Sanga with a contract value of IDR 2.39 billion; an increase in the DIR Epil irrigation network with a contract value of IDR 4.3 billion; improvement of irrigation network of DIR Muara Teladan with a contract value of Rp. 3.3 billion; normalization of Ulak Ria Lake, Sekayu District with a contract value of IDR 9.9 billion.

"The total commitment fee that will be received by DRA from SUH from the four projects in question is around Rp. 2.6 billion," said Alex.

Of that total, some of the money has been handed over by Suhandy through Dodi's subordinates, Herman and Eddi. In this OTT, the KPK secured Rp270 million and Rp1.5 billion from Dodi's aide in Jakarta.

So what is the money for?

The director of the KPK investigation, Setyo Budiyanto, did not know for sure the purpose of the money confiscated by his subordinates during the arrests in two places, namely in Musi Banyuasin and Jakarta. "It certainly becomes something interesting for investigators based on these findings," he said at the same press conference.

The use of the money, continued Setyo, will of course be investigated by investigators in the next process. At least, there are two things that will be asked of the suspects, including where the money came from.

"Later we will explore the first is the source. Where did the money come from and for what purposes or interests," he concluded.
