JAKARTA - Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Anwar Makarim asked community organizations that passed the selection not to worry about the continued evaluation of the Organizing Organizational Program (POP).

"For mass organizations that pass the selection, there is no need to worry about this further evaluation, because this program will be implemented. We want to ensure that what we have done is with a high standard of integrity," said Nadiem, quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 25.

He added that mass organizations that have passed the selection can carry out all their movements with high motivation and support from the community and mass organizations in Indonesia.

The follow-up evaluation is to ensure the integrity of the program is guaranteed.

"For that, I would like to thank all people in society who have provided various kinds of input. We are committed to perfecting this program," he said.

The evaluation will be carried out within 3 weeks and will be carried out intensively by involving many parties.

"The basis for conducting this evaluation is to ensure that when selected mass organizations can implement their programs, they do so with the full support of the community, and are confident in driving education reform," he explained.

The parameters that are evaluated are first, whether they have followed the best accountability standards not only in Indonesia but also in the world. Audit, which is not only internal but also brings external parties.

Second, each mass organization must be verified again to ensure the credibility and integrity of each organization is guaranteed.

"We are careful to do deepening. Third, each mass organization must ensure that the programs they carry out can be carried out during this pandemic. We have to study training and others during this pandemic," explained Nadiem again.

The parties involved in the evaluation are mass organizations that have been dedicated to education for decades, and education experts who wish to assist education reform.

"My hope is that from this program, there will be new perspectives in the reform strategy of a school, teacher training, curriculum. There are so many of our innovations in our mass organizations," he said.

The Mobilizing Organization program is designed so that the Ministry of Education and Culture can learn from the best community-driven learning innovations. Kemendikbud provides support to enlarge the scale of the movement so that it can be used more widely.

Currently 4,464 organizations have registered in the POP program and then have followed the proposal evaluation process which consists of administrative selection, substance, and verification. This program will later focus on various efforts to develop literacy, numeracy and character in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia.

The Mobilizing Organization program was launched as part of the Fourth Episode Merdeka Belajar policy on March 10. The program is designed to encourage the creation of driving schools by empowering the community through government support.
