Declare Ganjar In Presidential Election, Albertus Sumbogo Called This Afternoon, SGI Asks PDI-P Not To Be Frontal

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Purworejo Regency PDI-P DPC, Albertus Sumbogo, was summoned by the PDI-P Central Executive Board today, at 14.00 WIB.

The summons related to the declaration of the SGI Purworejo, supporting the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo to run in the 2024 presidential election.

"Yes, that's right, at 2 o'clock. Yes (regarding the declaration, ed)," he said briefly when contacted by VOI, Thursday, October 15.

Albertus could not be asked for further information because he admitted that he was resting.

On the other hand, the National Secretariat of Ganjar Indonesia (SGI) gave moral support to Albertus for this summons.

The chairman of the SGI National Leadership Council, Teddy Mulyadi, hoped that the PDIP DPP would not take a frontal stance against Albertus Sumbogo. Because as a party cadre, he said, Sumbogo's aspirations should be heard and considered.

"Only if they insist, I think this will backfire for them. Gonna go viral, big. We hope that they (PDIP's DPP) will not be frontal," said Teddy, Friday, October 15.

He said that Albertus Sumbogo's stance in supporting Ganjar to run for the 2024 presidential election was a personal decision. Incidentally, Sumbogo served as Deputy Chairman of the DPC as well as Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bapilu) of the PDIP Purworejo.

"Pak Sumbogo himself said that the PDIP has not yet decided who the candidate will be in the 2024 presidential election. Meanwhile, we are only seeking and conveying the aspirations of the people," said Teddy.
