Died When The Factory Wall Arrives, Mr. RT Kapuk Muara Is Confused, Why Is The Victim Hanging Out There

JAKARTA – The old, two-story building that used to be a perfume factory on Jalan Kapuk Muara, RW 01 Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, collapsed. The incident killed a young man with the initials S (30) who was crushed by the rubble of a building, Wednesday, October 13, evening.

“Information of the victim sitting beside the wall, suddenly collapsed. One person was able to save himself and one person was not saved," said North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-department (Sudin Gulkarmat) Sumarno when confirmed on Thursday, October 14. Officers spent three hours evacuating victims whose bodies were trapped in the rubble of buildings. When found, the victim was seriously injured.

"Actually, the problem is not too difficult. But we are afraid that the wall in front of us is tilted and almost broken. We are wary of going there, so this evacuation is not difficult, "explained Sumarno.

Meanwhile, the Head of RW 01 Kapuk Muara Feli said he received news that a resident was crushed by collapsed building materials. However, Feli said, the residents' efforts to help the victims did not produce any results.

"Some residents helped lift it but couldn't, I rushed to call the damkar. When he arrived (damkar) his condition was gone (died)," he said.

Feli explained that the location was a warehouse that had been abandoned for a long time because it had not been used since 2013. However, it is not yet known why the victim and his friend were at the location.

After the evacuation, the victim's body was immediately taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Central Jakarta for an autopsy to be carried out for the purpose of the investigation process.
