Rachel Vennya Escapes From Athletes House, Police Wait For Investigation Of The COVID-19 Task Force

JAKARTA - The police have yet to take any investigation steps regarding the escape of Rachel Vennya from Wisma Atlet Pademangan. The reason is that the case is under the authority of the COVID-19 Task Force.

"It is still being handled by the Task Force," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Guruh Arif Darmawan when confirmed, Thursday, October 14. "This means waiting for the results of the Task Force's investigation," he continued.

If the investigation process from the COVID-19 Task Force has been completed, continued Guruh, then his party will begin the process of searching for instructions and information. Especially, to find out whether there is a criminal violation.

So far, what has been done is still limited to coordination. Thus, the investigation process will proceed according to the rules.

Previously, the Head of Pendam Jaya Colonel Arh Herwin Budi Saputra revealed the fact that Rachel Vennya was able to escape from Wisma Atlet because she was assisted by TNI personnel.

"It was found that there were allegations of non-procedural actions by members of the Soetta Airport Security (TNI) initials An. FS who had arranged for the Rachel Vennya program to avoid quarantine procedures that must be passed after traveling from abroad," said Herwin.

What was done by Rachel Vennya and the TNI personnel who assisted her clearly violated the Decree of the Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 12 of 2021 and the SE of the COVID-19 Task Force Number 18 of 2021.

Currently, said Herwin, the investigation process against the TNI personnel is still being carried out. Investigations will also be carried out on health sector personnel, security personnel and other quarantine organizers in order to obtain maximum results as evaluation material.

This news circulated after an Instagram account named @_melatiintaan wrote a comment about the celebrity. This account claims to be one of the data input officers at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

According to him, Rachel was required to undergo quarantine for eight days but it turned out that Rachel only ran for three days.

"Ohhh, he was supposed to be quarantined at the Athlete House for 8 days, eh. But he just ran away for 3 days???" wrote @_melatiintaan on October 8, 2021.

This account also mentions Rachel Vennya being in the same room with her lover, Salim Nauderer and her manager even though they are not husband and wife.
