Called All Commissioners And Directors Of Custodian, Stafsus Erick Thohir: Adian Blunder!

JAKARTA - The Special Staff of the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Arya Sinulingga, opened his voice on allegations by the PDIP politician, Adian Napitupulu, that the commissioners and directors of BUMN were entrusted people.

Arya said Adian's statement was a blunder. Adian, he said, embarrassed himself with a misstatement caused by ignorance of the process of filling the position of company leadership.

"I can say that Adian has made many mistakes because he does not understand corporate culture," said Arya to the reporter, Jakarta, Friday, July 24.

In corporate culture, said Arya, a company never openly opens vacancies for directors and commissioners positions. This does not only apply to BUMN, but all companies.

"Which company has ever opened job vacancies for directors or commissioners in the media or announced publicly," he said.

He also asked to check it. "Just try, check any companies in the world. (Adian's statement) is funny, I see. There may be one, two (companies), but rarely," he added.

As previously reported, PDI-P politician Adian Napitupulu said more than 6,000 people serving as commissioners and directors in all BUMN companies were entrusted people.

This figure, continued the '98 activist, refers to the statement of Deputy Minister of BUMN Budi Gunadi Sadikin who said that the total number of state-owned companies reached 1,000 to 2,000 companies.

"From 6,000 to 7,200 commissioners and directors of BUMN, in my opinion, all are entrusted," said Adian during the Casual Talk with Adian Napitupulu which was broadcast on the YouTube Chat Yuk 2020 account, Thursday, July 23.

According to him, all directors and commissioners of BUMN are entrusted persons because so far there has never been any information on vacancies for the general public to register by bringing application letters and having their abilities tested.

"I want to ask, have we not read it in newspapers, on the internet, or have information posted on flyers looking for vacancies for people filling positions of directors and commissioners of BUMN. Are there or not? Are there or not? Never," he said.

"What does that mean, the position of directors and commissioners of BUMN is not a position open to the people so that they can come with a job application along with cv (curriculum vitae), then be selected. No, it has never been opened," added Adian.
