The government encourages communication experts to take part in preventing the spread of radicalism or intolerance in Indonesia. This was asked directly by the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar.

This Unpad Doctor of Communication Science alumnus said, building literacy and education in society about the dangers of this ideology, must be carried out. This communication is expected to reach various groups in society.

As an agency in charge of warding off terrorism, Boy Rafli said it was impossible for the BNPT to move alone. The essence of the power of countering terrorism lies in community participation. This step requires a good communication process with the public.
