The Pier Corruption Case, Aceh Besar Prosecutors' Investigators Search The Irrigation Service Office

BANDA ACEEH - A team of investigators from the Aceh Besar District Attorney's Office (Kejari) searched the Aceh Provincial Water Service Office to collect evidence related to alleged corruption in the construction of a jetty or jetty with a value of Rp. 13.3 billion in Aceh Besar District.

"The search was carried out to find additional evidence to complete the case file for alleged corruption in the construction of a jetty," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Aceh Besar Kejari Deddi Maryadi in Aceh Besar, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 12.

During the search, said Deddi Maryadi, the Aceh Besar Kejari investigator team confiscated 14 documents related to the construction of the jetty in Kuala Krueng Pudeng, Lhoong District, Aceh Besar District.

"During the search, the investigation team was accompanied by the Secretary of the Aceh Provincial Water Service. The search was completed safely and smoothly," said Deddi Maryadi.

In this case, investigators have named three suspects, namely the initials MZ (55) as the Budget User Proxy (KPA) who is also the Commitment Making Officer (PPK).

Then, TH (39) as the Technical Implementation Officer (PPTK) and YR (41) as the Director of PT BYA, the implementing contractor company.

"Investigators also detained the three suspects. The reason for handling them was because they feared the suspects could escape, destroy evidence, and repeat their actions," said Deddi Maryadi.

Deddi Maryadi said the suspect's modus operandi started from planning, where the suspects MZ and YH manipulated the data as if they were in accordance with the provisions. In fact, the documents made are not true.

"Because the documents made were not correct, there was a shortage of work volume, resulting in a loss of state finances based on the results of the Aceh Representative BPKP audit of Rp. 2.3 billion," said Deddi Maryadi.
