COVID-19 Update As Of October 11: Dropped Drastically, New Cases Today 620

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 225,083 specimens were examined with the result that there were 620 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,225,552 and active cases are 22,541," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, October 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,444 cases, bringing the total to 4,093,295 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 65 people and a total of 142,716 people.

The province with the most new cases was in Central Java with 97 cases and a total of 483,238 cases. Followed by West Java with 69 new cases with a total of 703,885 cases. East Java has 47 new cases and a total of 396,735 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta with 41 new cases and a total of 859,202 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Kalimantan with an additional 456 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 309 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 159 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 145 recovered cases.

There are 2 provinces that reported no new cases today, namely North Maluku and Papua. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 41,828,486.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.73 percent," he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, 368,489. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 100,322,375 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 57,607,200 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,019,371. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
