COVID-19 Update As Of October 10: 894 New Cases, Healed 1,584

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19. New cases per day reached 894 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases increased by 1,584 today, bringing the total to 4,060,851 recovered. Meanwhile, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 39 people and a total of 142,651 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 140 new cases and a total of 859,161. Followed by East Java with 182 new cases and a total of 396,688 cases. Then, Central Java 83 new cases and a total of 483,141.

Then, West Java with the addition of 63 new cases and the total cases reached 703,816. Then, East Kalimantan 46 and a total of 157,378 cases. Furthermore, West Kalimantan with the addition of 40 cases and the total reached 40,392 cases. Then, DI Yogyakarta with 36 new cases and the total cases reached 155,291.

It was also reported that there were 13 provinces that reported the addition of new cases under 10, namely West Nusa Tenggara and West Sulawesi with 8 cases each, North Maluku 7 cases, Papua 6 cases, Jambi and Riau Islands 5 cases each.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Kalimantan with an increase of 209 cases. Then, followed by East Java 150 cases recovered, West Java 93 cases, South Sulawesi 90 cases. Then, South Kalimantan 84 cases.

"The highest death cases were in Aceh with 6 people. Followed by Central Java with 5 people. Then DKI Jakarta and East Kalimantan with 4 people each," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, October 10.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 219,649. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 41,603,403. As for the details, 26,180,449 were examined by RT-PCR, 239,004 by the TMC method and 15,183,950 people were antigens.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 331,377 people," he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from October 3 to 9, 2021 is 0.73 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 0.62 percent.

Currently, 686,187 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the total has reached 100,059,481 people, and 500,639 people have received the second dose of vaccination, the cumulative total is 57,409,303 people.

Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination increased by 5,197 and the total was 1,015,463. Meanwhile, the vaccination target reached 208,256,720 people.
