JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police investigators are still investigating cases of alleged sexual harassment and bullying experienced by MS, an employee of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Setyo Koes Heriyanto, said that until now the investigation process is still being carried out by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"We will finish it soon. We will immediately commit to resolving the case (MS)," he told VOI, Saturday, October 9.

The case of alleged sexual harassment and bullying that befell MS emerged after he wrote an open letter which went viral on social media on Wednesday, September 1.

In the open letter, MS admitted that he had been a victim of bullying since he worked at KPI in 2012. He even experienced sexual harassment by five of his co-workers in 2015 in the office.

MS admitted that he had reported this to his superiors and the Gambir Police in 2019, but the report was never followed up.

After the open letter went viral, KPI and the police started to investigate this case. Central Jakarta Police have examined 5 reported persons who are said to have sexually harassed MS.

Meanwhile, regarding the matter of the title of the case, AKBP Setyo said that this was the domain of the investigation team of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
