Megawati Will Inaugurate 20 DPD And DPC Party Offices

JAKARTA - The Chairperson of the PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri, will simultaneously inaugurate 20 party offices in a number of regions. Megawati also signed 20 inscriptions for the PDIP office at the provincial (DPD) and district / city (DPC) levels.

"The agenda for the inauguration of the party offices at the provincial and district / city levels will be chaired directly by the General Chairperson at 14.00 WIB," PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said in a written statement quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 22.

According to Hasto, this inauguration was carried out virtually. This is to prioritize the digital aspect of party activities while supporting the government in implementing strict COVID-19 health protocols.

After that, representatives from the DPD or DPC levels of Indonesia will provide their comments regarding the event. As for giving views, it represents the three regions of Indonesia.

"Then, it was topped with Mrs. Megawati giving a briefing regarding the inauguration of 20 party offices," said Hasto.

Hasto mentioned four party offices that were inaugurated for the provincial level, namely: DPD PDIP Bangka Belitung Islands Province, DPD PDIP Central Kalimantan Province, DPD PDIP Jambi Province, and DPD PDIP West Kalimantan Province.

Meanwhile, 16 party offices were inaugurated at the district / city level, namely: DPC PDIP Karangasem Regency, DPC PDIP Klungkung Regency, DPC PDIP Katingan Regency, DPC PDIP Gunung Mas Regency, DPC PDIP Palangka Raya City, and PDIP DPC Palu City.

Next, DPC PDIP Sorong Regency, DPC PDIP Pasuruan Regency, DPC PDIP Sikka Regency, DPC PDIP Banggai Regency, DPC PDIP Bangai Laut Regency, DPC PDIP Mataram City, DPC PDIP Sarolangun Regency, DPC PDIP Kulon Progo Regency, DPC PDIP Banyuwangi Regency, and PDIP DPC Tuban Regency.

Hasto explained that the inauguration of the party office is a form of the party's commitment to always being present in the community.

"The General Chairperson always reminds the party office not to have a physical problem only, but there is activity and soul in it. The party does not attend only just before the regional elections, legislative elections, or presidential elections," said Hasto.

The party office, he continued, is the people's house which is important as the people's aspiration home, cadre education center, and cultural kitchen in order to strengthen the national personality which is full of spiritual values, love for the homeland and tolerance.

In accordance with the tradition previously practiced by Bung Karno, the party did the same thing. Every Wednesday is used as a party day for political education and regeneration.

"Saturday is a party day that is focused on getting down and becoming one with the people. All strategic policies are being discussed at the party office through party meetings," explained Hasto.
