Pemko Banda Aceh Builds And Repairs 722 Houses For The Poor

BANDA ACEH - The Banda Aceh City Government has built and repaired 722 housing units for the poor in the capital city of Aceh Province in the past five years.

"From 2017 to 2021 the Banda Aceh government has built and rehabilitated 722 houses for underprivileged residents," said Head of Public Relations of the Banda Aceh Government, Said Fauzan, in Banda Aceh, quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 7.

Said said the house construction and renovation assistance was carried out through the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim) and Baitul Mal Banda Aceh.

Based on data received by his office from the Perkim and Baitul Mal Office of Banda Aceh, the 722 houses in the five years were divided into 260 units built from scratch and 462 renovated units.

The details are for the simple plus healthy houses built by Perkim through the Banda Aceh APBK from 2017-2021 there are 143 units, and 34 units for rehabilitation houses.

Then there are also poor houses built by Baitul Mal Banda Aceh with zakat funds reaching 117 units, then for house renovations through infaq funds 30 units.

"There are also self-help rehabilitation houses with a budget sourced from the special allocation fund (DAK) of 398 units (2019-2021)," said Said.

Meanwhile, Banda Aceh Mayor Aminullah Usman expressed his commitment to continue trying to eradicate uninhabitable houses in the capital city of Aceh Province.

"God willing, all poor citizens of the city, one by one, will have decent houses, and now we have built hundreds of houses, both through Perkim and Baitul Mal," Aminullah said.

In giving this house, Aminullah said that his party had determined the priority scale in building or renovating the residents' houses.

Aminullah also hopes that the type 36 house provided by the government can be useful and provide comfort for the recipient's family.

"There is a priority scale, who needs the most. May Allah always make things easy and protect us all," Aminullah said.
