Minister Of Health Budi Gunadi: PeduliLindungi Facilitate The Implementation Of Health Protocols For Citizens' Activities

JAKARTA - Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, said the Ministry of Health will gradually continue to implement the use of the PeduliLindungi application to various main community activities such as trade and religion.

"Where are the functions of the PeduliLindungi application, both for screening, 'tracing' and also for health protocols that we can later run and help make our lives easier in carrying out health protocols in main activities", he said at the launch of the QR feature integration. Code PeduliLindung with various partners, which was followed virtually in Jakarta, Thursday, October 7.

Some of the activities that have started using the PeduliLindungi application include trading, both modern with the purpose of shopping centers and traditional ones such as markets. The application is also used for transportation, tourism, work, and educational purposes.

The Minister of Health also explained that PeduliLindungi will be and have been used for religious activities, both weekly rituals such as praying in mosques and worship in churches, but also major religious events such as Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and cremation ceremonies in Bali.

"The PeduliLindungi application will be implemented aggressively but gradually in the six main activities for the screening, tracing and health protocol functions", he asserted, quoted from Antara.

To expand its reach, the Ministry of Health has partnered with various digital platforms to integrate the QR Code PeduliLindungi feature with other applications.

According to the Chief Digital Transformation Officer of the Ministry of Health, Setiaji, so far 15 partners have integrated this feature, with another 35 partners will gradually implement the feature.

Regarding the use of the QR Code feature in other applications, he ensures the security of the feature and guarantees that it will not be stored in the PeduliLindung partner application.

"Personal data and so on, including location, we do not store, and information regarding the security of data protection is also stated in the terms and conditions that exist in each digital partner platform", Setiaji said.
