The Story Of Manoj Punjabi, A Film Boss Who Was Fired By A Company

JAKARTA - The name Manoj Punjabi is famous in the world of film. This film producer is one example of a successful figure in the business. However, not many know that his success was hard earned.

Many years before his current success, Manoj Punjabi was an ordinary young man. However, he worked hard with his artistic talent.

In fact, since graduating from education in 1992, this man immediately decided to enter the world of film. At that time, his parents did not approve of him.

"I want to enter the film sector because my family is in the film industry, he said he can't because it is destroying the film industry," Manoj Punjabi was quoted as saying on the YouTube Boy William channel, Tuesday, July 21.

Finally, young Manoj chose to work as an employee at a company in the paper and pulp sector. However, it didn't last long. Only 3 months, after which he was fired from the company.

Getting fired was considered a bad thing by some. However, for Manoj it actually served as a spur to get better.

So, he woke up from adversity and tried to build a new business. The world of textiles which he then tried to do. Armed with limited knowledge, Manoj learned to export clothes.

Together with dozens of employees, Manoj struggled with all the obstacles. Ordering raw materials to do sewing. From this business he penetrated the world of television.

Until right in 2002, this man made up his mind to really enter the world of film.

"2002 I started MD and I wanted to make a difference," said Manoj

Even though he has founded a film company, it does not mean that Manoj's life has changed completely. Various obstacles must be passed first before arriving as of now.

Initially, with only 5 employees, Manoj grew his business. Step by step the business he loved was growing rapidly.

In running the business he chose as his way of life, there are three guidelines that he continues to adhere to. Guidelines that make him never give up.

"I have a tagline. Never give up, I want it now, no free lunch. I often repeat it," he said.

In the course of his business, failure is nothing new for him. It wasn't just one or two times that he failed. However, according to Manoj, failure must be experienced if you want what you do to be a success.

"Of course I have failed. I like this sentence, 'Why do we fall (fail)? So that we learn to build ourselves up (better) again.' I really like it, it's a sentence that really inspires me. When we fall, when we fail, then we will succeed. It's only a matter of time, "he explained.

At the end of the conversation, Manoj said, never be afraid to fail. Because, even today, failure has still hit him. However, behind the failure, success certainly awaits.

"You have to fail to be successful, otherwise you won't be able to. Of course I still fail sometimes, but it is my journey of success," he said.
