Tourism Tahura And KRM Surabaya Ready To Open With Strict Procedures

SURABAYA - The Great Forest Park (Tahura) and Mangrove Botanical Gardens (KRM) attractions in Wonorejo and Gunung Anyar, Surabaya City, East Java, are ready to be opened to the public with strict health protocols.

Head of the Surabaya City Food and Agriculture Security Service (DKPP), Yanuar Herlambang, said that currently, the requirements for the opening of Tahura and KRM are just waiting for the PeduliLindugi QR code from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) as well as regulations from the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri).

"We are still waiting for QR PeduliLindung. We have already made an application for a few days," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 6.

In fact, he continued, the standard operating procedures (SOP) for health protocols at KRM and Tahura were ready. Previously, he said, an assessment had been carried out by the Surabaya COVID-19 Task Force.

He said that actually the SOP for health protocols at KRM and Tahura had been prepared for a long time. Moreover, before the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM), KRM had also been opened and closed.

"So far we have implemented prokes, we have opened and closed as well. It has been assessed (the COVID-19 Task Force), our capacity (KRM) is around 300 (visitors)," he said.

Therefore, Herlambang again ensured that all the health protocols at KRM and Tahura were ready. Thus, he continued, when the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs along with the QR code PeduliLindung comes down, the opening of KRM and Tahura can be carried out immediately.

As for the mechanism, Herlambang said, later his party will monitor the number of visitors by using a card at the entrance. This card is to calculate the number of visitors who enter the location area, a maximum of 300 people.

"So, we control it using a card. The number of cards is 300, if it runs out, it's closed. Waiting for visitors to come out, then other visitors come in. That's what is applied, in turn," he said.

According to him, according to the advice from the COVID-19 Task Force, the maximum capacity of KRM visitors in Wonorejo, Gunung Anyar and Medokan Sawah is 300 people. Therefore, when the KRM area reaches 300 people, it is immediately closed and waiting for visitors to come out and then reopen.

"So, those in the area before 300 (people) have left, then other visitors who want to enter, that's okay. For example, 20 (people) go out, you can get the ticket (card) again (20) How much will come out, how much will come in," he said.

Although Tahura or KRM have not been allowed to operate, Herlambang ensured that routine maintenance is carried out every day. Moreover, his party is currently preparing photo destinations and jogging tracks.

"The treatment is every day. My friends also have activities to form jogging tracks, create destinations for photos," he said.
