Allegations Of Inflating Recess Funds Denied, Ex-PSI Viani: Just Playing To Destroy Your Good Name

JAKARTA - Former PSI politician, Viani Limardi, is grateful that his accusations of inflating the DKI DPRD recess funds have been refuted. This accusation became the reason PSI fired Viani from his party membership.

"I am very grateful that the truth can be revealed, so that the public, especially the people of DKI Jakarta, know the truth about this representative of the people," said Viani in a short message, Wednesday, October 6.

Viani asserted that he would continue to sue PSI for Rp. 1 trillion in relation to his dismissal as a cadre. This is because Viani feels that she has never committed a deviant act that resulted in her being fired and defaming her name.

"Every day, from morning to night, we work hard and wholeheartedly for the people of DKI Jakarta, even if we play around with our reputations," he said.

As is known, PSI reportedly fired Viani Limardi from his party membership because it was deemed to have inflated the recess funds.

In the letter to dismiss PSI's Central Executive Board (DPP), it was stated that Viani had often inflated recess funds of up to Rp. 302 million for 16 recess points.

However, after inspection, Plt. Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Augustinus, said that Viani had not inflated the intended budget.

"For recess activities, we always research, check, and verify the money used from the DPRD Secretariat. However, for the first recess from Mrs. Viani, we did not find any inflated funds. So, there was no inflated recess funds," said Augustinus.
