Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Asks The Public To Remain Vigilant About The Potential Increase In COVID-19 Cases

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked the public to remain alert to the potential increase in cases of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia.

The vice president asked the public not to feel too comfortable about the current decline in cases of COVID-19 transmission.

In the Limited Meeting on Evaluation of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), chaired by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, a number of things were evaluated by the government, including the implementation of PPKM for the period 20 September to 4 October 2021, acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination

This includes evaluation of the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) in schools, positivity rates, and daily recovery rates in all regions.

"The Vice President in the limited meeting reminded us to remain vigilant and careful. The risk of an increase in cases is still high and could happen again at any time," said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan quoted by Antara, Monday, October 4.
