COVID-19 Update As Of October 4th: New Cases Less Than A Thousand

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive COVID-19 cases as of today, October 4, 2021. A total of 211,514 specimens were examined with the result that there were 922 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,220,206 people and active cases are 31,054," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, October 4.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,656 cases, bringing the total to 4,046,891 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 88 people and a total of 142,261 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 149 cases and a total of 858,347 cases. Followed by Central Java with 86 new cases with a total of 482,353 cases. West Java has 74 new cases and a total of 703,214. Then, East Java with 62 new cases and a total of 395,905 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 474 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 305 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 202 recovered cases, and Central Sulawesi with an additional 160 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely Gorontalo. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 40,059,078.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.98 percent," he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, 108,264. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 94,223,6907 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 53,006,923 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 962,619. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
