JAKARTA - Photos circulating on social media showing former Karo Korwas PPNS Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo with Djoko Tjandra and his attorney, Anita Kolopaking.

In the photo uploaded by the @xdigeeembok account, it appears that the three of them are at the airport. In addition, the photo is given a narrative about Djoko Tjandra leaving for Malaysia on a private jet.

Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that from the results of the interim examination, Prasetyo admitted that he went with Djoko Tjandra by plane.

"The information we got was that the person concerned was directly in the same plane with the DPO (Djoko Tjandra) and this is what we are still doing in the future," said Awi in Jakarta, Monday, July 20.

However, Awi admitted that he could not explain further regarding this issue. Including, the question of how many times Prasetyo has issued travel letters to be used by Djoko Tjandra.

The reason was, based on the doctor's statement and Propam, Prasetyo was still in the process of healing. So, for now, we cannot ask for further details.

"That's what we haven't got (about how many times we issued the letter) because we have just been interrogated, not finished, the person concerned is still sick," said Awi.

So far, the information that has only been obtained by Prasetyo is still regarding the recognition of the issuance of the road papers based on his initiatives. There has been no further examination regarding the involvement of other parties in this matter.

"For the initial examination, we got it according to the permit. The person concerned made his own permit to Pontianak," Awi concluded.

For your information, Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo was officially removed from his position as Head of the Coordination and Supervision Bureau of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency. The removal was a result of the issuance of the road documents used by Djoko Tjandra.

The letter issued by Prasetyo is registered as Number: SJ / 82 / VI / 2020 / Rokorwas, dated June 18, 2020, and is said to be an initiative of the high-ranking officer.
