Andi Merya Nur Entangled In The OTT Of The KPK, Gerindra Sultra Denies Being A Party That Is 'out Of Sweet' After Being Thrown Away

SULTRA - The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Gerindra Party of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) emphasized that the legal case against the Regent of East Kolaka Regency, Andi Merya Nur, was not related to the party.

"So I convey this is a personal matter from the East Kalimantan Regent himself and has nothing to do with the party," said Chairman of the DPD Gerindra Sultra, Andi Ady Aksar in Kendari as reported by Antara, Wednesday, September 29.

Currently, his party has temporarily disabled Andi Merya's status as one of the deputy chairman of the DPD of the Gerindra Sultra Party. This was conveyed in front of all Gerindra Party officials in East Kolaka Regency. Including consultation with the Central Executive Board (DPP) for further processes.

In the future there will be two options to be decided. First, continued Andi, whether it was immediately deactivated or Andi Merya Nur was asked to step down.

"We also want to dismiss the rumors circulating that we are called a party that ends up being dumped. We respect the ongoing legal process," he asserted.

On Tuesday, September 21 at around 8 p.m. WITA, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted an arrest operation on the East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur (AMN) along with five other people in East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

In this case, the KPK has named two suspects, namely the Regent and Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of East Kolaka Regency (AZR).

The KPK named the two suspects related to two work projects in East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, which came from a grant from the National Disaster Management Agency for East Kolaka Regency.

For the project, the East Kolaka Regent allegedly asked for Rp250 million from the head of the local BPBD.

"As a realization of the agreement, AMN allegedly asked for Rp250 million for the two work projects that AZR will get," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron during a press conference at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/9).

For the investigation process, the KPK detained Andi Merya and Anzarullah for the first 20 days, starting from September 22, 2021 to October 11, 2021 at the KPK Detention Center.

Andi Merya Nur as a bribe recipient is suspected of violating Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
