Arguing Over WhatsApp Status, Bloody Duel Happens In Badung Bali

BADUNG - A fight that ended in a stabbing took place in Sanding Village, Mengwi, Badung Regency, Bali. The victim named I Made Oka Suyasa (40) is now being treated at the Mangusada Hospital.

"Currently, the victim is still being treated at the Mangusada Hospital in a conscious condition. Meanwhile, the perpetrators are currently being investigated by Unit 1 of the Badung Police Detective and Criminal Unit (Satreskrim)," said Head of Public Relations of the Badung Police, Iptu Ketut Sudana, Wednesday, September 29.

The bloody duel took place on the evening of Tuesday, September 28. At first, the perpetrator named I Wayan Armita alias Ega and witness I Nyoman Kresna Bayu Putra alias Jagapati played billiards at the scene.

At that time, the witness informed the perpetrator about a WhatsApp message from the victim asking for the status made by the witness.

According to the police, the victim called the witness Jagapati to ask the meaning of the WhatsApp status. The witness intended to straighten out and apologize by going to the victim's house with the perpetrator Ega.

However, when they arrived in front of the alley of the victim's house, the witness and the perpetrator saw the victim carrying a crowbar. The victim then hit the witness.

Due to this condition, the perpetrator fled to a house close to the victim's house. He took the machete and returned to the location where the victim was.

At the location, the perpetrator was hit by the victim using a crowbar in the face. The perpetrator immediately stabbed the victim.

The victim fled to the road. But out of compassion, the perpetrator and the witness took the victim to the Mangusada Hospital.

"They're actually friends, yes (presumably) a fuss on WhatApp and it ended up like that," he said.

As a result of the stabbing, the victim suffered injuries to the right hand to the face area.

"For now, the person concerned is still being investigated to determine the cause of the incident. The victim is still being treated at the hospital," said Iptu Sudana.
