MEDAN - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) of the Medan City DPRD said its faction highlighted the 115 acting (plt) principals of public elementary schools in the city of Medan who also served as heads of other public elementary schools in the area.

This was stated by the spokesman for the PKS Faction of the Medan City DPRD, Rudiawan Sitorus in the presence of Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution in a plenary meeting with the agenda for ratification of the 2021 PAPBD in Medan, Tuesday, September 28.

"The PKS faction received data that 115 school principals have concurrent positions in other public elementary schools," he said, quoted by Antara.

This problem is said to be a serious problem for public elementary schools in the provincial capital of North Sumatra, because there is no substitute that meets the requirements, namely the certificate of prospective school principals.

"We support the training program for prospective public elementary school principals, which is budgeted at Rp. 924.96 million for 100 teachers in the 2021 PAPBD," he said.

In addition, said Rudiawan, the PKS faction of the Medan City DPRD also found data that there were nine public junior high schools whose principals had the status of implementing duties so that they would be immediately appointed as definitive school principals.

"From the data at the Medan City Education Office, the human resources are adequate. Permendikbud No. 6/2018 concerning Assignment of Teachers as Principals, Article 15 states that the principal's workload is fully carrying out the main managerial tasks, entrepreneurship development and supervision of teachers and education staff. ," he said.
