PDIP Threatens To Scratch Formula E Budget In APBD, Deputy Governor Of DKI: God Willing, Use Sponsors

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to the request from the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD to write off the Formula E budget if it was proposed by the executive in the APBD discussion.

Deputy Governor Riza admitted that he had no problem with the PDIP threat. Because, Riza estimates that the DKI Provincial Government will be able to get sponsorship from the private sector to finance Formula E.

"God willing, in the future we hope to use the Formula E budget in the following years, it can use the budget from the public, the public, from the private sector, or from sponsors," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, September 28.

Moreover, said Riza, the attitude of the PDIP that does not want to allow the budgeting of Formula E in the APBD is his right as a member of the legislature.

"That's the authority of the DPRD, each has opinions, attitudes regarding the budget. Go ahead. Right, there are rights from the executive, there are rights from the DPRD. Everything is discussed together, between the executive and the DPRD. It will be decided together," he said.

Previously, the member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Manuara Siahaan, invited DPRD members not to allow or cross out the Formula E budget proposal from the DKI Provincial Government in the discussion of the Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P) in 2021 and the draft APBD in 2022.

This proposal is offered by Manuara if the DKI Provincial Government has not yet provided a revised feasibility study document or a Formula E feasibility study until the budget discussion is carried out later.

This feasibility study was made by the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of Formula E in Jakarta. This study contains the feasibility of Formula E in terms of budgeting, economic impact, environment, and technical implementation.

"I hope that in the upcoming APBD-P discussion, so that if we have not verified the revision of the study and we have not received it, I hope that in the budget discussion meetings we will cross out all the budget allocated for Formula E," said Manuara.
