South Kalimantan Police Arrested Cross-Provincial Gendam Gang, A Number Of ATM Cards Confiscated

Inter-Provincial/Inter-Provincial Gendam Perpetrators

South Kalimantan - The South Kalimantan Regional Police have arrested a gang of trans-provincial gendam-style crimes that have acted in many locations, both in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

"There were three suspects arrested with the initials A, S, and H in two locations, namely Banjar Regency and Banjarmasin City on Saturday, September 25," said Head of Sub-Directorate 3 Jatanras Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police AKBP Andy Rahmansyah in Banjarmasin, as reported by Antara, Monday, 27 September.

The three suspects are residents outside South Kalimantan. Perpetrator A is a resident of Gresik, East Java, S is a resident of Pare-Pare, South Sulawesi, and H is a resident of Garut, West Java.

Andy revealed, the gang deliberately targeted South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan for their criminal actions.

A number of locations for the crime of theft with gendam mode weighting have been carried out, including in Banjarbaru City, Banjar Regency, and a number of places in Central Kalimantan. The South Kalimantan Police Resmob Unit commanded by AKP Endris Ary Dinindra who led the Banjarmasin Police Timsus Joint Team, the Banjarbaru Police Resmob Unit, the Banjar Police Resmob Unit and the Palangka Raya Police Resmob Unit, and the Central Kalimantan Police Resmob Unit chased the gang of perpetrators after receiving a report from one of the victims.

After being secured, the police found a number of evidence of ATM cards which were part of the gendam mode.

"So this perpetrator exchanged the victim's ATM payment card with another ATM card after the victim was hypnotized by being crushed. The perpetrators often offered counterfeit goods such as fake US dollars and fake luxury watches," explained Andy.

As for some of the evidence from the crime in the form of a BRI ATM belonging to the victim, Rp10 million in cash, one car, and two mobile phones were also confiscated.

"The suspects are being processed by law at the Banjarbaru Police. We remind the public to be aware of this gendam mode of fraud," said Andy.
