Viral Solok Regent Angry At The Plenary Session, This Is The Cause

JAKARTA - The Regent of Solok, Epyardi Asda, explained that he had an argument with one of the DPRD members during a plenary meeting regarding the submission of a report on the results of the discussion of the Regional Regulation on the Revised Regional Budget for Fiscal Year 2021 which went viral on social media.

Epyardi said the dispute began when a member of the DPRD asked to interrupt and discuss the DPRD's internal issues regarding the chairman of the Solok Regency DPRD.

"I was invited to a plenary meeting to discuss the Draft Regional Regulation on Amendments to the Regional Budget for the 2021 Fiscal Year, but why did I even discuss internal DPRD issues," he said in Singkarak, reported on Sunday, September 26.

In addition, he also explained his reason for leaving the courtroom to keep the plenary session conducive.

"If it's still discussing internal DPRD issues, I don't want to interfere, that's why I chose to leave to keep the plenary session conducive," he said. The 2021 Fiscal Year is going well.

"I apologize for the intrigues that occurred earlier, but thank God they did not become a barrier in the approval of the 2021 budget amendment," he said.

He hopes that in the future the executive and legislature in Solok Regency can join hands in building the area into the best district in West Sumatra.

"I hope that members of the DPRD and related parties will oversee every development in Solok Regency. As a regent, I sincerely want to build Solok Regency," he said.

Previously, a video circulating that the Regent of Solok Epyardi Asda was involved in an argument with a member of the DPRD during the Plenary Meeting of Approval of the 2021 APBD Amendment to leave the meeting room of the Solok Regency DPRD circulated on social media on Friday, September 24.

In the video, the atmosphere of the plenary meeting initially seemed smooth. Then a quarrel ensued after one of the meeting participants expressed his opinion, sparking the regent's anger.
