Moving With The Code 'Deraku-Cartenz 2021,' Papuan Police Guarantee Security In 4 PON Clusters

PAPUA - Police personnel who are members of the operation codenamed Deraku-Cartenz 2021 are now deployed to secure XX PON in Papua.

The Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Deraku-Cartenz 2021, Kombes Dedy Sumarsono, explained that until now the security and public order situation in the four Papua PON clusters has been conducive.

TNI-Polri personnel continue to be on standby and guard the match in each venue and it will be held until the end of PON XX.

Security is carried out openly and closed to ensure the safety and comfort of athletes, officials, supporters and visitors.

"We hope that every 20th PON match in the four clusters can take place in a safe and conducive manner without any disturbances from public security and security forces from irresponsible parties," Sumarsono hoped in Jayapura, Antara, Friday, September 24.

The four Papuan PON clusters are the City and Regencies of Jayapura, Merauke and Timika. Several matches have been held since Thursday 23 September, including softball and baseball, hang gliding, water polo, kite flying and futsal.
