Says Dishub Personnel Involved In Nail Mine On Jalan MT Haryono, Police: None, Perpetrators Work Alone

JAKARTA - Tebet Police Chief Kompol Alexander Yurikho denied the involvement of certain individuals in the case of spreading nail mines along Jalan MT Haryono, Tebet Barat Village, Tebet District, South Jakarta.

From the results of the preliminary investigation, the suspect BIP (43) admitted to working alone when spreading nail mines along Jalan MT Haryono.

Meanwhile, when it was asked about the suspect's confession in the viral video, that his action was assisted by the DKI Transportation Agency, the Sector Police Chief stated that there was none.

"No, it doesn't exist (the Dishub person). So maybe it's because of the community's frustration. The person concerned is working alone," said the Sector Police Chief to VOI, Friday, September 24.

However, the Tebet Police are still investigating the suspect.

"Regarding the involvement of other parties, the investigation process is still ongoing and we will investigate it," he said.

Furthermore, the police chief explained that the suspect was a specialist in nail mines from umbrella frames.

"We have determined and secured the suspect. We hope that there will be no more flat tire accident. It was an accident made by irresponsible people just for personal gain," he said.

"The perpetrator worked as an operator for a portable tire repair shop on Jalan MT Haryono, next to a petrol station," said Tebet Police Chief Kompol Alexander Yurikho.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 192 of the Criminal Code regarding the prohibition of blocking the lane used by traffic with a threat of 9 years in prison.
