Police Are Still Examining Civil Servants Suspected Of Supplying Weapons To KKB Papua

JAYAPURA - Yahukimo Police Investigators are still investigating the ES Civil Servant (PNS) who is suspected of being the supplier of weapons and ammunition to the KKB (Armed Criminal Group).

The Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police, Kombes Ahmad Kamal, revealed that ES' arrest began when he was about to be stopped when he passed in front of the Yahukimo Police Headquarters, but the car was driven by ES continued to drive until members blocked another road section.

"When confronted, it appears that the number of passengers has decreased because they have been dropped off at several locations, so an inspection was carried out and from that inspection, a search was carried out at one of the houses on line 1 under the Collapsed complex, Dekai, Yahukimo Regency", said Kombes Ahmad Kamal as reported by Antara, Thursday, 23 September.

He admitted, from the report he received, it was revealed that after examining ES's house, a search was carried out and dozens of items of evidence, including ammunition, were found.

The evidence seized included 26 rounds of 5.6 5TJ ammunition, 8 rounds of 38 SPC ammunition, one M-16 magazine, one pair of KNPB striped clothes, various traditional sharp weapons, and communication tools.

"Currently investigators have sent 20 witnesses home because they are not involved with the KKB, while ES is still being detained", said Kamal, adding that ES will be subject to Article 1 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951.

"It has not been confirmed which ammunition and various sharp weapons will be given to the KKB", said Kombes Ahmad Kamal.

Previously, on September 1, the Nemangkawi task force arrested Senaf Soll, who was dismissed by the Indonesian Army as a suspect in various acts of violence in Dekai, including the murder of KPU staff Yahukimo Hendry Jovinski.
