JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Police Watch (IPW) Presedium, Neta S Pane, said that the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, through the PPNS Coordination and Supervision Bureau, has issued a road letter to Bunonan Djoko Tjandra. "From the data obtained by IPW, the Road Letter for Joko Chandra was issued by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police through the PPNS Coordination and Supervision Bureau, Number: SJ / 82 / VI / 2020 / Rokorwas, dated June 18, 2020," said Neta in an official broadcast to reporters, Jakarta. , Wednesday July 15th.

According to Neta, the letter was allegedly signed by the Head of the PPNS Coordination and Supervision Bureau of the National Police Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo. In the travel letter, Joko Chandra said he left for Pontianak, West Kalimantan on June 19 and returned on June 22, 2020.

"The IPW question is, is it possible that the same class as a one-star general with the post of Head of the Karokorwas PPNS Bareskrim Polri has the courage to issue a pass for a high-profile fugitive like Djoko Chandra?

Moreover, he said, the bureau where he was assigned did not have the urgency to issue a pass for a businessman with a label called Bareskrim Polri as a consultant. He also questioned the issuance of the pass.

"Then who ordered Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo to provide the Road Certificate. Is there an evil conspiracy to protect Djoko Chandra," he said.

Thus, he asked Commission III of the DPR to form a Special Committee for Djoko Chandra to investigate the possibility of an evil conspiracy to protect the corrupt who was a fugitive. "IPW urges Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo to be immediately removed from his position and examined by the Police Propam," he said.

He also asked President Joko Widodo to step in and evaluate the performance of Bareskrim Polri. Because giving a pass to a fugitive in a corruption case like Djoko Chandra means slapping President Jokowi's face, who has always emphasized the eradication of corruption in this country.
