BANDA ACEH - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Central Aceh Police, Aceh arrested three online gambling agents or the online game Higgs Domino.

AKP Zain Hamid said the three alleged perpetrators were arrested based on information from the public who had been restless about the rise of online gambling games.
The three perpetrators were charged with violating Article 18, Article 19, and Article 20 of Aceh Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning the Jinayat Law with a public caning, said AKP Zain Hamid.
"The punishment is 45 lashes or a maximum fine of 450 grams of pure gold or 45 months in prison," said AKP Zain Hamid.
Zain Hamid said the Aceh Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) had issued a fatwa that the online game Higgs Domino was haram.
Therefore, AKP Zain Hamid appealed to stakeholders to socialize to the public not to play online gambling anymore.
"The police chief emphasized that if there is an application that smells of gambling, strict action will be taken according to the applicable law. The police chief has also ordered a raid on the personnel's mobile phones," said AKP Zain Hamid.
