Khofifah: Alhamdulillah, 100 Percent Of Regions In East Java Are At Low Risk Of COVID-19

SURABAYA - The East Java Provincial Government announced that the COVID-19 situation in 38 districts/cities in the local area was in the yellow zone or low risk.

"Alhamdulillah, 100 percent of areas in East Java have been declared by the National COVID-19 Task Force to be low risk," said East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Surabaya, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

This achievement is based on data from the National COVID-19 Task Force as of September 22, 2021.

For information, regional risk zoning maps are calculated based on public health indicators using scoring and weighting.

The indicators used are epidemiological indicators, public health surveillance indicators and health service indicators.

Each indicator is given a score and weighted, then added up, the calculation results are categorized into four risk zones.

Respectively high risk (red zone), moderate risk (orange zone), low risk (yellow zone) and no risk (green zone).

Even though East Java is in the yellow zone, Governor Khofifah reminded all residents not to get into the euphoria, and then be careless about health protocols.

"Precisely at this time the public must comply with health protocols, not slack and immediately vaccinate," said the number one person in the East Java Provincial Government.

The former Minister of Social Affairs thanked all levels of society who had moved quickly, synergized together in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in East Java.

"Thanks to the East Java Forkopimda, TNI-POLRI, Regency / City Government, health workers, religious leaders, community leaders, academics, media, the private sector and all elements of society in East Java," said Khofifah.

Khofifah also said that the total vaccination achievements had reached 19,727,057 people.

In detail, the first dose reached 12,891,110 people and the second dose reached 6,835,947 people.

"Thank you for the mutual cooperation and synergy from various parties so that the achievement of vaccination in East Java has reached 19,727,057 people. God willing, we will continue to accelerate vaccination," said Governor Khofifah.
