OTT Netted, East Kolaka Regent And BPBD Head On The Way To The KPK's Red And White Building

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has flown East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya and a number of people who were caught in a red-and-white operation (OTT), including the head of the BPBD to Jakarta for further investigation at the KPK's Red and White Building.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri said they were caught in a silent operation in East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi on Tuesday, September 21.

"Currently, the parties are on their way to Jakarta for further investigation at the KPK's Red and White Building," Ali told reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

He explained that in addition to the East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya and the Head of BPBD, the KPK also brought four other people, namely the regent's aide.

In the silent operation, said Ali, the KPK found evidence in the form of cash. However, he did not specify the amount.

"The progress will be further informed," he said. As previously reported, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said his men carried out a silent operation in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi. He ensured that the law enforcement against the riots would be carried out indiscriminately.

"Whoever the perpetrator is, we will not discriminate if there is sufficient evidence," said Firli in a written statement.

The former deputy for prosecution of the Corruption Eradication Commission also ensured that the prosecution team would continue to work to collect information and evidence related to alleged criminal acts committed by a number of parties.

Thus, Firli asked the community to give time for his subordinates to work and reveal the facts behind the arrests of a number of parties in East Kolaka.

"KPK continues to work to collect information and evidence. Please give us time to work, later the KPK will provide a complete explanation after the collection of information and evidence has been completed," he said.

"Because we work based on evidence and with that evidence, it is clear that a criminal case of corruption and finding the suspect is clear," added Firli.
