Not Only The Case Of Persecution Of M Kece, The Criminal Investigation Unit Investigate TPPU Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte Regarding Joko Tjandra's Red Notice

JAKARTA - The Police Criminal Investigation Unit is not only investigating cases of alleged abuse involving Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte against Muhammad Kece.

The Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Dittipikor) is also investigating the case of money laundering (TPPU) for removing red notices and DPOs on immigration for Joko Tjandra.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, confirmed the investigation. In fact, based on reports, the team is currently holding a case.

"The report from the Dirtipikor (Director of Corruption Crimes) is like that (the case)," Agus told reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

However, Kabareskrim did not elaborate on the investigation process or the investigation of the case. The reason, the handling of the case is still ongoing.

"The case is related to that (TPPU)," said Agus.

For information, in the case of removing the red notice for Joko Tjandra, Inspector General Napoleon was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the judges of the Jakarta Corruption Court.

At the appeal level, the panel of judges upheld the verdict. This means that Napoleon Bonaparte is still proven to be proven according to the indictment of Article 5 of Law no. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

Napoleon Bonaparte was proven to have received bribes of US$370,000 (approximately Rp5.137 billion) and 200,000 Singapore dollars (approximately Rp2.1 billion) from the convict in the "cessie" corruption case of Bank Bali Djoko Tjandra through Tommy Sumardi so that Napoleon Bonaparte helped the process of removing Djoko's name. Tjandra from the People's Wanted List (DPO) registered at the Directorate General of Immigration.

For this money, Napoleon also removed Djoko Tjandra's name from the Enhanced Cekal System (ECS) on the immigration information system (SIMKIM).

Inspector General Napoleon ordered his subordinates to make a letter from the National Police International Relations Division Number: B/1030/V/2020/NCB-Div HI on May 4, 2020 regarding the Renewal of Interpol Notices Data on behalf of the National Police Headquarters, Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia Brigadier General Nugroho Slamet Wibowo addressed to Directorate General of Immigration. The contents of the letter basically convey the abolition of the Interpol "red notice".

Furthermore, on May 5, 2020 Inspector General Napoleon again ordered his subordinates to make a letter from the National Police International Relations Division Number: B/1036/V/2020/NCB-Div HI dated May 5, 2020 regarding Submission of the Elimination of Interpol Red Notices addressed to the Directorate General of Immigration on behalf of the Kadivhubinter Polri Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia Brigadier General Nugroho Slamet Wibowo who said that the Interpol Red Notice on behalf of Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra Control No: A-1897/7-2009 had been deleted from the Interpol database system since 2014 or after 5 years.
