Danny Pomanto Claims Yellow Zone In Makassar Due To Makassar Recover Program

MAKASSAR - Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) claimed the status reduction from the red zone to the COVID-19 yellow zone in the provincial capital of South Sulawesi was due to the "Makassar Revover" program.

"The city of Makassar is now in the yellow zone circle in the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This is through travel with various efforts to suppress the rate of movement of COVID in the community," said Danny Pomanto in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 21.

Danny Pomanto said that the Makassar Recover program by moving all its instruments was able to play its role in supporting the running of Makassar Recover.

He stated, currently Makassar City has dropped to level two which was previously at level four with the number of exposed residents at that time experiencing an increase.

"Alhamdulillah, the number of exposed residents is currently decreasing, which is the same as bringing Makassar down to level two and changing its color, which was previously a red zone with a high number of COVID-19 sufferers, now it is yellow or has minimal COVID-19 sufferers," said Danny Pomanto.

The Makassar Recover program which he launched with Deputy Walkot Fatmawati Rusdi has been able to suppress the movement of COVID-19.

"All unite and work together to make Makassar Recover successful by actively going to the field to see the potential for the spread of COVID. Separating the sick and healthy and also educating residents on the importance of adapting to today's conditions," he explained.

Makassar, which was previously at level four, immediately shifted to level two with the involvement of officers who are members of the Raika Task Force, the COVID Task Force, the detector team and also the integrated floating isolation.
