Minister Of Home Affairs Issues 2 Instructions For Follow-Up PPKM Questions Effective September 21-4 October

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian has issued two Instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) regarding the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM).

Head of Information Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, via electronic message, in Jakarta, Tuesday, said the two Inmendagri, namely Inmendagri 43/2021 and Inmendagri 44/2021.

Inmendagri 43/2021 concerning PPKM levels 4, 3, and 2 in Java and Bali. This Instruction from the Minister of Home Affairs comes into effect from September 21, 2021 until October 4, 2021.

"Following on the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia who instructed him to carry out PPKM levels 4, 3, and 2 for COVID-19 in Java and Bali in accordance with the criteria for the level of the pandemic situation based on an assessment," wrote Inmendagri 39/2021, reported by Antara, Tuesday, September 21.

Then, Inmendagri 44/2021 is an instruction regarding the implementation of PPKM level 4, 3, 2, and level 1 in Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

The Minister of Home Affairs' instruction will take effect from September 7, 2021 until October 4, 2021. The determination of the regional level based on the instruction is guided by the indicators for adjusting public health efforts and social restrictions in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic set by the Minister of Health.

The determination was added with indicators of total achievement of dose 1 vaccination and dose 1 vaccination for seniors over 60 years of age from the vaccination target

The stipulation is to reduce the district/city level from level 3 to level 2 with a minimum of 50 percent total achievement of dose 1 vaccination and at least 40 percent of the achievement of dose 1 vaccination for seniors over 60 years of age.

Then, the reduction at the district/city level from level 2 to level 1 with a minimum total achievement of vaccination dose 1 of 70 percent and attainment of dose 1 vaccination for seniors over 60 years of age at least 60 percent.

For districts/cities with level 2 in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 41 of 2021 and remaining at level 2 or level 1 based on the indicators determined as of September 12, 2021, they will be given 2 weeks to achieve the vaccination target as regulated by Inmendagri 44/2021.

The stipulation is that if the vaccination target is not achieved within 2 weeks, the district/city will move up to level 3.
