Police Asked To Trace All Evidence In The Death Case Of Metro TV Editor

JAKARTA - The case of the murder of Metro TV editor Yodi Prabowo has yet to find a bright spot. The police are still investigating some of the available evidence and examining a number of witnesses.

A criminal law expert from Al Azhar University, Suparji Ahmad, suspected that Yodi was killed because of personal problems. Because, no valuables belonging to the victim were missing. That way, the possibility of Yodi becoming a victim of robbery or robbery can be denied.

"There are indications that the person concerned has a personal relationship and there is no indication of any other motive (robbery or theft)," Suparji told VOI, Monday, July 13.

However, he said, this personal matter could not be concluded. This does not mean that personal problems have to be related to matters of romance. "For example, it is related to professional problems or work carried out," said Suparji.

For that, said Suparji, investigators must prove this possibility or allegation. One way to do this was by checking Yodi's cellphone and tracing the conversation for a few days before being found dead with multiple stab wounds.

That way, later the allegations will become clearer. In fact, it is possible to open other allegations behind the murder case.

"Checking conversations on cell phones, it can be evidence of clues to explore other evidence," concluded Suparji.

Previously, the police had taken investigative steps to solve the mystery of the death of Metro TV employees, including carrying out an autopsy. From the outopsy, it was found that there were stab wounds in the neck and chest.

"So there are stab wounds on the neck and chest," said Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Yusri Yunus, Jakarta, Saturday, July 11.

From this result, it also shows that Yodi died 2 or 3 days ago. Thus, the victim's body has continued to decompose. "Because it is estimated that it has been two, three days at the TKP," he said.

Based on the crime scene process (TKP), no valuables belonging to the victim were lost. However, nothing could be concluded regarding this incident. Because, this case is still under investigation.

So far, the police have examined 12 people regarding the victim's death. The witnesses being questioned were family, people closest to and who knew the victim. "Until now, we have examined 12 witnesses," he said.

On this occasion he said that his party had formed a special team to study this case. The formation of this team was based on direct instructions from the Kapolda Metro Jaya.

It is known that Yodi was found dead on Friday, July 10 on the side of the JORR Toll Road, Ulujami, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. The victim died allegedly because he was murdered.

Yodi was found dead after three days of missing. The MetroTV extended family expressed their deep condolences. His party asked the police to thoroughly investigate this case.
