Like Grandmothers And Grandchildren, 50-Year-Old Women And 19-Year-Old Teens Engage In Prostitution Practices At A Grocery Shop

TANGERANG – The Tangerang City Police exposed the practice of prostitution under the guise of a grocery shop in Sumur Village, Bandung, Jayanti District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. Two suspects with different roles were arrested and made suspects.

Tangerang District Police Chief Kombes Wahyu Sri Bintoro explained that one of the perpetrators was a woman with the initials DD who was 50 years old. DD as a place provider, namely a grocery store. According to the Police Chief, Wahyu, the second perpetrator with the initials DR (19), is tasked with looking for prostitutes (WTS) and johns.

Kombes Wahyu said that the disclosure of this practice began with reports from local residents who suspected that the stall owned by DD often brought in young men and women with different faces. "Then the team investigated the complaint, until on August 31, 2021, the officers managed to secure the two perpetrators," said Kombes Wahyu, Friday, September 17.

The two perpetrators admitted that they had carried out this practice for two months. Meanwhile, the profit obtained from each transaction ranges from Rp. 50 to Rp. 70 thousand.

"They are a collaboration, DD's role is to provide a location for prostitution in his shop, while DR is in charge of looking for prostitutes and men who are johns to do the shuttle," he explained. The police chief continued. Meetings between patients (man masher and women prostitutes) are connected with an application. After agreeing, the couple was directed to a point, namely the DD grocery shop.

DD and DR were charged with articles 296 and 506 of the Criminal Code regarding immoral acts or Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning ITE and the threat of six years in prison.
