MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution together with the Army Commander, TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly observed the mass vaccination implementation at the Lau Cih Main Market, Medan Tuntungan.

This vaccination is specifically for market entrepreneurs in the main market with a vaccination target of 1,400 people. In addition to conducting a survey, 500 food packages were also distributed to porters and pedicab drivers.

After conducting a review, the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, said that the Medan City Government continued to intensively vaccinate health facilities in the sub-districts of Medan City.

This is an effort to suppress the spread of COVID-19 in Medan city. Therefore, Bobby Nasution expressed his gratitude to all parties who have encouraged the acceleration of vaccination in Medan.

Meanwhile, Army Commander, Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto, said that the implementation of vaccination at the Lau Cih Main market was very appropriate to protect business actors in this market.

Therefore, the Commander hopes that vaccination in Medan and generally in North Sumatra Province can achieve the vaccination target that has been set.

"I hope that the targets in Medan and North Sumatra can be achieved as desired and areas where vaccination is still below the target we need to encourage so that the target can be achieved", hoped the Army Commander.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, explained that this working visit was to see firsthand the efforts to accelerate vaccination by adding vaccination points. In the city of Medan, vaccinations were held in three places.

"This is a target that must be achieved and pursued so that it can suppress the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the level of PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions)", said the National Police Chief.
