Update On COVID-19 As Of July 11: 5 Provinces Without Development Of New-Recovering-Death Cases

JAKARTA - Government spokesman for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto explained the progress of the case as of Saturday, July 11 at 12.00 WIB. There were an additional 1,671 confirmed positive cases today. The total number of positive cases became 74,018 people.

Then, the number of patients who died today increased by 66 people, bringing it to 3,535 patients. There were an additional 1,190 patients recovered, bringing the total to 34,719 patients.

There are five provinces that report no progress in the number of COVID-19, both new cases, cured cases and death cases. The provinces are Jambi, North Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, Lampung, and East Nusa Tenggara.

If you look at the distribution of data on recovered cases, there are six provinces that reported more cases of recovery than new cases today.

"The highest number of recoveries today was in Bali, where only 37 were confirmed positive but 150 people recovered," said Yuri at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Saturday, July 11.

Then, Banten has new cases only seven people but 30 cases recovered, Maluku has new cases only six people but 30 cases recovered, West Sumatra has new cases only three people but five cases recovered.

Furthermore, Southeast Sulawesi has only two new cases but 18 cases recovered, and West Kalimantan has only 6 new cases but 30 recovered cases.

"This picture shows that cured cases will continue to increase from time to time," he said.

The province with the highest number of new cases today is East Java with 409 new cases and a total of 16,140 cases. East Java is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Then, the provinces with other high new cases are in DKI Jakarta with 378 cases and a total of 14,113 cases, South Sulawesi with 180 new cases and 6,800 total cases, Central Java with 100 new cases and a total of 5,403 cases, North Sumatra with 87 new cases and total 2,284 cases, and South Kalimantan with 79 new cases and a total of 4,069 cases.

Of the 34 provinces that reported, 18 provinces reported new cases under 10. Of these provinces, 6 of them reported that today there were no new cases added.

"Provinces that report no new cases are Jambi, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, Lampung and East Nusa Tenggara," he said.

Furthermore, the total number of specimens that had been examined was accumulatively as many as 1,038,988. In detail, 1,012,341 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 26,647 specimens were examined using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

This examination was carried out in 161 active RT-PCR laboratories, 115 TCM laboratories, and 299 network laboratories. The rate of positive cases was 12.1 percent of all examinations carried out.

Then, the patient data under surveillance (PDP) which is currently still under surveillance reached 13,752 people. Meanwhile, people under monitoring (ODP) who are currently still being monitored reach 34,887.
