The Third Day, The SAR Team Deployed The Main Tool To Search For The 3 Crew Of The KM Elang Laut Ship In The Thousand Islands

JAKARTA - The joint SAR team is again searching for 3 victims of the missing fisherman KM Elang Laut who was swept away by the waves when the fishing boat he was traveling on overturned on Damar Island, Thousand Islands waters, North Jakarta.

The three victims who are still being sought are Abdul Malik (20) ABK from Banjaran, Bandung. Arif (27) ABK from Indramayu and Agus (19) from Indramayu.

Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office (SAR Mission Coordinator) Hendra Sudirman said his party was deploying personnel from the combined SAR elements and the main equipment in the field.

Search by joint SAR on the surface of the water with an area of up to 164 NM² from around the scene since Wednesday 15 September, yesterday afternoon it turns out that the victim has not been found.

"The main tools in today's search consist of KN SAR 227 Yudistira, RIB 01 Jakarta, RIB 03 Jakarta, KP 204 (Polres Kep. Seribu), Navy Patkamla Ship (P. Damar), Baharkam Patrol Vessel at Police Headquarters, Jetski Seadoo Next , RIB SCRC, and fishing boats," he said in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, September 16.

After the search was stopped last Wednesday afternoon, the search was resumed this Thursday morning.

"We pray that we will find the victims soon," he said.

Previously reported, a motor boat (KM) Elang Laut containing 10 crew members capsized due to being hit by waves in the waters of Damar Island, Thousand Islands, North Jakarta.

Head of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office (SAR Mission Coordinator) Hendra Sudirman said his party managed to save 6 crew members. While 3 other people are still in the process of being searched and 1 person died.

The six crew members of the KM Elang Laut who survived were Ale (34) the captain of the ship, Gito (39), Danial Manuate (25), Muhammad Kadiman (24), Mulyana (31) KKM and Cecep (18) a crew member (ABK).

Meanwhile, Adam (19), the crew of the KM Elang Laut, was found dead on Damar Island, Thousand Island Waters, Jakarta.
