MEDAN - The first trial of the used antigen swab case at Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang, was held at the Lubuk Pakam District Court. The accused mastermind behind this case made a profit of Rp. 2.2 billion.

The five defendants who were tried were Picandi Masco Jaya alias Candi as the Business Manager of the Sumatra I Business Unit at PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika (KFD) in the Medan and Aceh work areas and four of his subordinates namely Renaldi, Marzuki, Sepipa Razi and Depi Jaya.

The charges against the five were read out separately through a virtual trial chaired by Rosihan Juhriah Rangkuti as chairman of the panel of judges.

In the indictment read by the prosecutor from the Deli Serdang Kejari, it was explained about the implementation of antigen swab sampling at the location of the PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika antigen rapid test health service at Kualanamu Airport.

The defendant Picandi Masco was charged with abusing power or dignity, or by providing opportunities, facilities or information, intentionally encouraging officers or employees assigned to the location to perform acts of producing or distributing pharmaceutical preparations and/or medical devices that do not meet the standards and/or requirements. safety, efficacy or benefit, and quality.

The defendant ordered the other four defendants to use COVID-19 antigen rapid test equipment in the form of dacron swabs and used antigen tubes for the COVID-19 rapid test antigen swab service at Kualamamu Airport with the aim of obtaining personal gain.

"Upon the defendant's order, then the employees of PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika who are on duty at the Health Service Location of the PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika Antigen Rapid Test at Kualanamu Airport perform Antigen Swab services to service users by using Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes that have been used or recycled. ," explained the Public Prosecutor in the trial, Wednesday, September 15.

The defendant ordered the defendant Renaldo to convey to the analysts not to break the swab device in the form of a dacron antigen swab for recycling. The goal is to be reusable.

Furthermore, the defendant Renaldo conveyed the defendant's order to the analyst officers.

"Furthermore, the defendant gave Rp. 2,000,000 per month to the defendant Renaldo through the defendant Sepipa Razi," said the prosecutor.

The defendant ordered the defendant Marzuki to make a daily report on the results of the COVID-19 antigen rapid test at Kualanamu Airport.

Furthermore, the defendant ordered Marzuki to hand over the money for receiving the rapid antigen test service using a new Dakron Swab per day to Renaldo. The defendant also handed over the money for receiving the Rapid Test Antigen service using used Dakron Swabs per day to Sepipa Razi.

"Furthermore, the Defendant gave money in the amount of Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 500 thousand per week to Marzuki," explained the Public Prosecutor.

The defendant also ordered Sepipa Razi to take medical devices in the form of Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes that had been used from the PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika Antigen Rapid Test Health Service Location at Kualanamu Airport and re-washed them in the Fertility Room at the PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika Clinical Laboratory located on Jalan Kartini No. 1, Medan City.

After washing the used Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes, they were brought back to the location of the PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika Antigen Rapid Test health service at Kualanamu Airport to be handed over to Renaldo.

The defendant also taught Sepipa Razi how to wash used Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes so that they can be reused.

"Furthermore, the Defendant gave money amounting to Rp. 400 thousand per week to Sepipa Razi," said the Public Prosecutor.

Then, the defendant also ordered the defendant Depi Jaya to wash the Dakron Swab and Antigen Tube again in the Fertility Room of the Clinical Laboratory of PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika, Medan.

"After being washed again, the Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes were delivered by Sepipa Razi to Kualanamu Airport. The defendant also taught Depi Jaya how to wash used Dakron Swabs and Antigen Tubes so that they could be reused. Furthermore, the Defendant gave money 3 times with details of Rp. 300,000,- around the end of December 2020, IDR 800,000 around February 2021 and IDR 500,000 on Friday 23 April 2021 or on Saturday 24 April 2021 to Depi Jaya," explained the Public Prosecutor.

According to the prosecutor, the defendant Picandi Masco Jaya made a profit of Rp.2,236,640,000 which was received from the defendant Sepipa Razi in stages in cash.

"That furthermore the defendant with the aim of hiding or disguising the origin of the money, the defendant has placed the proceeds of the crime into a number of bank accounts," said the public prosecutor.

After the trial, prosecutor Eka Nugraha explained that the five defendants were charged with different articles. Eka said that the defendant Picandi Masco Jaya was charged with articles on health and consumer protection and articles on money laundering.
