57 KPK Employees Who Failed TWK Including Novel Baswedan Were Dismissed At The End Of This Month

JAKARTA - Dozens of employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who are declared ineligible or failed in the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) will certainly be honorably dismissed at the end of this September.

This confirmation was taken after a coordination meeting was held on September 13 at the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Office. The meeting was attended by 5 KPK leaders, Secretary General of the KPK, Head of the Legal Bureau, Acting Head of the KPK HR Bureau, Menkum HAM, MenPANRB, and Head of BKN.

"It was concluded that he respectfully dismissed 50 KPK employees who were declared ineligible (TMS) as of September 30, 2021," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata in a press conference broadcast on the Indonesian KPK YouTube, Wednesday, September 15.

In addition, there were an additional six other people who were also dismissed. They were actually employees who were still being trained, but because they refused to participate in training for state defense and national insight, the six were finally expelled from the KPK.

Alexander said that the 57 KPK employees were not appointed as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) as mandated by the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019 not because of Perkom Number 1 of 2021 or other regulations.

According to him, dozens of employees cannot become ASN and work at the KPK because the results of the TWK assessment are a condition for transferring employee status. Alex emphasized that all employees have been given the same opportunity even though they have passed the age limit or have stopped being ASN before.

For this decision, the KPK then expressed its appreciation for the dozens of employees who will be dismissed at the end of this month.

"KPK expresses its highest appreciation for its services and dedication to all dismissed employees," said Alex.

"Hopefully his dedication and charity work while at the KPK will become part of his charity and service for the nation and state," he added.

For information, as many as 75 KPK employees were initially declared unsuccessful or did not meet the requirements in the TWK assessment process as a condition for employee status transfer. Of this number, 24 of them can be trained, although recently only 18 have participated in the training for State Defense and National Insight.

So that the total number of employees who are considered unable to be trained and do not want to carry out training because their request for clarity on the results of the TWK has not been given is 57 people.

Those who did not pass the TWK and were considered unable to be fostered through state defense education and national insight included senior KPK investigators Novel Baswedan and Ambarita Damanik, Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum Yudi Purnomo, KPK investigator Harun Al-Rasyid, and dozens of other names.
