East Java Provincial Government Bans Tourist Destinations From Operating If You Don't Have A CHSE Certificate

SURABAYA - Head of the East Java Culture and Tourism Agency (Disbudpar), Sinarto, stated that only Level 2 and 3 tourist destinations in East Java were allowed to be opened. The condition is that they must have a CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environment) certificate and a QR Code.

"This regulation is in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri), and must receive a recommendation from the local district/city government. So, level 2 and 3 regions must still be careful, don't go around on their own," said Sinarto, Tuesday, September 14.

Based on data from the East Java Disbudpar, there are only 46 CHSE certified tourist destinations or 9.7 percent of the 474 total tourist destinations in Jayim. The East Java Disbudpar also encourages tourism managers and district/city governments to immediately register for CHSE certification.

"The certificate shows that tourist destinations are guaranteed cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability. We encourage districts/cities to get CHSE certificates, because why, it is important to maintain good management and safety for tourists," he said.

Not only tourist destinations, this CHSE certificate also applies to hotels, restaurants and homestays. Currently only 188 of the 1,510 certified hotels in East Java. Meanwhile, there are 5 homestays out of 1,324 units. Meanwhile, there are 147 certified restaurants and restaurants out of 4,323 units.

In addition to the CHSE certificate, no less important is the provision of a QR Code. This facility is used for tourists who enter by requiring a barcode scan through the PeduliLindung application. Well, currently there are four tourist attractions in East Java that are equipped with a QR Code.

Namely, Selecta Recreation Park and Jatim Park 2 in Batu City, Hawaii Group in Malang City and Maharani Zoo Goa in Lamongan. Furthermore, for tourism businesses that have been equipped with a QR Code, the details are 40 hotels, 203 restaurants and 42 cafes.
