Sandiaga Explains The Evaluation Phase Of The Opening Of 20 Tourist Destinations Trial

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno explained the evaluation stages during the trial opening of 20 tourist destinations in Indonesia.

After the PPKM is slowly relaxed, he continued, the tourism sector needs to be aware of the possibility of violations of health protocols in every activity within the destination.

The next stage is the duration of the activities offered, the distance between visitors, and activities that require people to touch objects.

Then the application of PeduliLindung application in controlling the movement of the community. In addition, it is also related to how tourism managers can prepare a task force and coordinate with the local COVID-19 task force.

“There are currently 2,264 recipients registered in the Tourism and Creative Economy sector or received QR Code PeduliLindung. These recipients consist of bars, cafes, hotels, restaurants, fast food restaurants, and tourist destinations located in DKI Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya," he said.

Menparekraf expects the use of the application to be expanded to include tourist villages.

Regarding parents who want to bring children under 12 years old for recreation, hotel stays, going to restaurants and tourist attractions, it is explained that individual discretion will be given to families because the majority of visitors are over 12 years old.

Sandiaga explained that the family had also been vaccinated and then a decision could be made based on coordination with the local COVID-10 task force.

For parts of Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta, it consists of Grand Maerakaca Mini Park, Borobudur TWC, Prambanan TWC, Taru Jurug Animal Park, Breksi Cliff Park, Gembira Loka Zoo, and Asri Mangunan Pine Forest.

Lastly, East Java with Selecta Recreation Park, Jatim Park 2, Hawai Group, and Maharani Zoo and Caves.
