"We will give the manager a warning and also take firm action in the form of installing police lines," said Head of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, Kompol Anggaito Hadi Prabowo, Monday, September 13.
In two locations, urine tests were also carried out. The result was that two visitors tested positive for methamphetamine.
"At Tiffany Karaoke we did a urine check on visitors and found two positive and there was also evidence of used pipettes," he explained.
The two visitors who were detected positive for taking drugs were then secured to the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters for further examination.
Furthermore, health protocol enforcement patrols were carried out to other locations, namely the Boa International Karaoke & DNA Club in Jatikarya, Bekasi City and the Tiffany Club & Lounge in Jatisampurna, Bekasi. Both locations were closed when the police arrived.
The police also conducted urine tests on employees at the location and all were negative for drugs. The police will then coordinate with the Bekasi City Satpol PP for further processing of violations of night entertainment venues.
